This is a slick and fastpaced genre thriller with both mystery and hard-boiled action, as well as a touch of romantic possibility with handsome Griff.
When a former friend, Tessa, commits suicide, her diary is mysteriously left for Wick with the tempting enticement “Find me.” She’s unable to resist the challenge and delves into Tessa’s diary, discovering to her horror that Tessa was being preyed upon by an unidentified older man-and that the predator’s next target is Wick’s little sister, Lily.
A new foster home and a new life haven’t changed Wicket all that much: she’s still engaging in criminal pastimes (using her computer to spy on people for money), and she’s still deeply suspicious of the cops.
